Using several modalities to promote natural healing
Dr. Hu is a master herbal pharmacist known to prepare customized mixes to counter many facets of imbalance in an individual body.
She is also an apitherapist, certified by American Apitherapy Society with Charles Mraz Tradition. Apitherapy encompasses the use of beehive products including honey, pollen, propolis, royal jelly, and bee venom.
Dr. Hu is well-versed in implementing other traditional Chinese medicine modalities as needed to achieve optimal healing. These include nutrition therapy, cupping, injection therapy, and moxibustion.
Dr. Hu grew up on the beautiful island of Taiwan. Her childhood life was surrounded with Chinese herbs and food therapy. She came to the United States in 1992, and earned a master’s degree in Computer Science and worked as a software engineer in the IT industry.
In 1996, Dr. Hu suffered a severe fall and injured her spine. After six months, she started to walk with a limp, but gradually lost the control of her knees, which left her unable to climb stairs. She eventually had to take a year off and went back to Taiwan to receive full-time Chinese medical therapy. After countless hours of Tui Na adjustments and Chinese herbal formulas customized for her, she was able to walk normally again.
After 15 years of a software engineering career, Dr. Hu started to suffer from a rare form of arthritis and severe vertigo. She decided to pursue Chinese medicine and restored her balance of health with a holistic approach. Now Dr. Hu is proud to offer this ancient healing art to help others suffering from illnesses.
Dr. Hsin Hsin Hu is well loved by her patients and her students for her acute understanding of her disciplines and her generosity of spirit in sharing the knowledge she has acquired.
As an adjunct faculty member of the East West College of Natural Medicine, she has had the honor of escorting students on study tours to Taiwan and China to learn from expert practitioners, specialists, and clinics.
She balances her life with her love of animals (especially dogs!), Chinese archery, and her colleagues from her BNI Referral Champions chapter.
